The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell is a non-profit youth development organization with 18 board members. It aims to provide a safe place for ages 8 to 18 and provide positive adult role models who guide them on the path to a bright future. According to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell, their vision is to, “… end generational poverty in Lowell,” while its mission is to, “…inspire and enable young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.”
“My commitment to service and helping others drives my work with the Club and within our community. At the heart of my mission is the impact the Club’s programs have on the young people we serve, helping them break cycles of poverty and pursue their dreams,” said Byrne. “This effort goes beyond afterschool programming; it’s about building a solid foundation for lifelong success. The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell holds a special place in my heart. I’ve seen firsthand how we transform lives, especially for those most in need. Through our Believe & Become campaign and incredible community support, we’re expanding to serve 600 youths daily, enhancing facilities and programs that foster academic success, leadership skills, and healthy lifestyles.”
