Jack Dragoumanos, a sophomore from Tyngsboro, earned his first All-American honors by placing 6th at Prep Nationals at Lehigh University this past February 23 and 24.

Dragoumanos, who trains at Doughboy Wrestling Club in Lowell, made it to the semi-finals by knocking off the 6th and 3rd seeded wrestlers to secure his spot on the podium.

“This is something I’ve worked for since I was a kid, and I’m super happy to have achieved one of my goals” said Dragoumanos. “My main goal is to win this tournament in the future, and this is a huge step towards that.”

In addition to Prep All-American, Jack is a two time New England Prep finalist.

Besides Doughboy Wrestling Club, he trains at Belmont Hill School in Belmont, MA.

Jack finished his second wrestling season at Belmont Hill and he was the Varsity Soccer goalie for Belmont Hill this past fall. He looks forward to continuing his training locally and competing in off-season tournaments throughout the course of the year.
