MANNHEIM STEAMROLLER CHRISTMAS BY CHIP DAVIS – Friday, November 29 at 7:30pm
The holiday tradition continues! MANNHEIM STEAMROLLER CHRISTMAS by Chip Davis has been America’s favorite holiday tradition for more than 35 years! Grammy Award winner Chip Davis has created a show that features Mannheim Steamroller Christmas classics in the distinctive Mannheim sound. The program includes 15 musicians playing more than 20 instruments against a backdrop of dazzling multimedia effects – capturing the spirit of the season in an immersive yet intimate setting.
SAFE HAVEN BALLET PRESENTS THE NUTCRACKER – Sunday, December 1 at 4:30pm
Safe Haven Ballet is thrilled to bring our spirited, full-length ballet of The Nutcracker to Lowell Memorial Auditorium! This dynamic performance includes all of your favorite characters including a strong-minded Clara to the eccentric Drosselmeyer, the spooky Rats, as well as our beloved Sugarplum Fairy danced by artistic director, Lissa Curtis. In the Land of Sweets you will be introduced to a variation unique to Safe Haven Ballet called The Brave American. Come sing and clap along to this spirited, patriotic piece!
Safe Haven Ballet is the first Trauma Informed professional ballet company, pre-professional school and (501)(c)(3) non-profit that exists to offer free trauma-sensitive ballet, movement and art classes to survivors of sexual/domestic violence and trauma, as well as create uplifting and inspiring ballet performances.
HIP HOP NUTCRACKER – Friday, December 6 at 7:30pm
A holiday mash-up for the whole family, The Hip Hop Nutcracker returns for another spectacular tour. Directed and choreographed by Tony and Olivier Award-nominated Jennifer Weber, this contemporary dance spectacle is a re-mixed and re-imagined version of the classic, smashing hip hop dance and Tchaikovsky’s timeless music together into a heart-stirring and inspirational holiday event. The Hip Hop Nutcracker is brought to life by a powerhouse cast of a dozen all-star dancers, a DJ, a violinist, and MC Kurtis Blow, one of hip hop’s founding fathers, who opens the show with a short set.
A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS – Friday, December 13 at 7pm
A Charlie Brown Christmas, the Emmy and Peabody award-winning story by Charles M. Schulz, has warmed the hearts of millions of fans since it first aired on television over fifty-five years ago. Now the classic animated television special comes to life in this faithful stage adaptation that celebrates the timeless television classic so the whole family can join Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the Peanuts characters in their journey to uncover the true meaning of Christmas. After the final bow, the show crescendos into a celebration of song as the audience is invited to join the Peanuts gang in singing traditional Christmas songs and carols.
BOSTON POPS: HOLIDAY POPS 2024 – Sunday, December 15 at 2:30pm
Join the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra and Conductor Keith Lockhart for their sparkling and beloved Holiday Pops concert. Capturing the magic of the Christmas season and the winter charms of New England, the Boston Pops will perform their signature Sleigh Ride, as well as other Holiday classics, and new arrangements of seasonal favorites. Santa Claus himself will make a guest appearance during the concert’s finale, followed by the traditional Boston Pops Holiday Sing-a-long, to bring this special performance to a close.
CELTIC WOMAN: WHITE CHRISTMAS SYMPHONY TOUR 2024 – Wednesday, December 18 at 7:30pm
This is a rare opportunity to hear Grammy-nominated Celtic Woman’s angelic harmonies with the thrilling live sound a full symphony orchestra in an intimate concert setting. The show features the all-female ensemble’s favourite Yuletide songs: Silent Night, Carol of the Bells, Sleigh Ride, Deck the Halls & more, along with Celtic Woman favourites Danny Boy, Amazing Grace & You Raise Me Up. So, take your seat, and prepare for an enchanting evening filled with holiday cheer.
