Lowell Girls Lacrosse Grade 1/2 and 3/4 Red Teams
by Eric Mojica
The Lowell Girls Lacrosse program was on the road for their week 2 games on Sunday (4/6). The teams played Woburn and Reading Classic teams, resulting in 2 wins, 2 losses, and a tie!
Grade 1/2:
Lowell 1/2 came ready to play in the rain on Sunday!
The girls put on an outstanding performance, battling through the wet weather to take down a tough Woburn team with a 7–3 win. The team showed great offensive improvement from their first game, with goals scored by Eva Mojica (4), Avery Gudewich (2), and Michaela Marshall (1).
But what really stood out was the total team effort. Every player showed grit by fighting for ground balls, moving to get open, and making smart plays all over the field.
We had some especially selfless play from Kinsley Witts and Etta Brunini, each with 2 assists, while Sophia Bedard, Evelyn McManus, Vivian Gilmore, and Riley Brady had strong two-way games, stepping up both offensively and defensively with smart passing and tough defense. Lyla Curran-Benson held things down in net, coming up with some clutch saves under pressure.
