InsideLowell has learned that Lowell High School Athletic Director Dave Lezenski has been placed on leave with pay.
Sources also tell us the situation is unrelated to the recent Indecent Assault charges against former Athletic Trainer Damon Amato, a story we first reported last evening.
When reached for comment, Lowell Public Schools Spokesperon Jen Myers told InsideLowell “we cannot comment on any personnel matters.” Myers provided the same reply when asked if the situation was in any way related to the charges against Amato.
Lezenski has yet to respond to our calls seeking comment.
Lezenski was named Athletic Director at Lowell High in June of 2017, after serving the previous 9-years in the same position at Billerica High School.
Stay with InsideLowell for updates on this story as it develops.
