The Lowell U12A softball team remained undefeated (12-0) during the 2024 summer season to capture their third consecutive league championship, having won the previous two seasons in U10A.

Nine members of this team have played together all three years and continue to get better every season, all while compiling a record of 34-2.

This year’s league was a thirteen team division, meaning every team only played an opponent once and there are no playoffs: best record wins. We went into the season with the plan to play every game as a playoff and it paid off.

Summer scheduling can be difficult with vacations and other commitments, but with such a deep team at every position they didn’t miss a beat.

This group showed up every game with strong pitching, stellar defense, and hot bats up and down the order. They scored 180 runs while only allowing 37.

The statistics were amazing, but nothing in the scorebook captures the spirit of these players and their families. Our families and fans travel well and showed up rain or shine, and put on lots of miles doing so.

I’d like to thank my coaches: Tre Sek, Joe Murphy, and Randy Negron. We’ve worked together for several years and the girls get consistent messaging from every of us.

To the parents: Thank you for continuing to give me the opportunity to work with these girls. Countless texts, calls, and car pools make this work and you are each a huge part of that.

Coaching this team is such a privilege and I forward to challenging this league again next summer for #4!
