As the summer sun rises over the heart of the Mill City, the excitement on the baseball diamonds is undeniable — Lowell Youth Baseball is back and better than ever! This year, three outstanding teams (8U, 9U and 11U) have clinched their spots as District Champions and are proudly advancing to the 2025 State Tournament!
As a mom cheering from the sidelines, I continue to be overwhelmed with pride and gratitude. Watching my child — Landry, #25 on 9U — take the field with passion and determination fills my heart. But what’s most inspiring is how all our players have grown, not only in skill, but in character. This game has taught them the importance of teamwork, discipline, perseverance and sportsmanship. Baseball has become a cherished chapter in their journey of growth, friendship and unforgettable memories.
These incredible achievements don’t happen by accident. They are the result of hard work, heart, and a powerful community.
To our amazing coaches — thank you. You are so much more than strategists and instructors. You are mentors, role models and steady presences in our children’s lives. The time, energy and heart you pour into every practice and game does not go unnoticed. You’ve built a foundation of confidence and character that will carry these kids far beyond the field.
To the Lowell Youth Baseball and Softball League Board of Directors, your behind-the-scenes efforts make all of this possible. From scheduling to logistics, fundraising to field prep — you’ve created a seamless and supportive system that lets our kids thrive. Your leadership sets the tone for a league that feels like family.
To the parents and families, your commitment fuels this community. Whether you’re cheering in the bleachers, organizing carpools, working the snack shack or volunteering on game day, your involvement is essential. You are raising not just players, but kind and committed teammates.
And the beauty of this league goes beyond the teams themselves — it’s in the way families show up for one another, even when their own kids aren’t playing. Parents and siblings come out to support other age divisions, bringing energy and encouragement to every game. Coaches organize outings to take their players to cheer on fellow Lowell teams, reinforcing a sense of unity and shared pride. It’s this cross-team support — this village mindset — that makes our league (and City!) so special. No matter the age group or jersey number, every Lowell player feels the love.
And of course, to the City of Lowell, thank you for your continued support and dedication to maintaining safe, beautiful playing fields. The well-kept facilities are a joy to play on and help create a welcoming, energetic space for families to gather and memories to be made.
So here’s to Team Lowell — the 8U, 9U and 11U teams — and to the entire community standing behind them. You’ve made your city proud, and you’ve proven that hard work, heart, and hustle can take you far.
Let’s keep the momentum going and support our teams as they head into the State Tournament! Be sure to follow the Lowell Youth Baseball and Softball League Facebook page for updates on scores, highlights and how far these talented teams go.
