Major Water Main Break in Downtown Lowell

Update 9:55pm on 11/28/22 – For residents asking about the safety of their drinking water, if you’re water is clear it is safe to drink. If your water is brown, run COLD water in your bathtub until it clears. The closer to the area of the water main break, the longer it will take to clear. DO NOT RUN HOT WATER until the cold water is clear, as you don’t want to re-fill your tank with brown water.
