LOWELL – Danielle McFadden, President and CEO of the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce since 2011, has announced she will be leaving the organization to assume the role of Chief Marketing Officer at Incompass Human Services.
McFadden’s tenure at the Chamber spans more than 14 years, during which she transformed the organization into a vital resource for businesses and nonprofit organizations across the Greater Lowell region while infusing energy and fun into everything the organization does.
Known for bringing creative surprises to the Chamber’s Annual Meeting – from performing a rap song to an AI-inspired comedy bit to the Tinder-themed “Swipe Left/Swipe Right” segment in 2025 – McFadden ensured that even formal business gatherings were memorable and engaging.
“Serving as President and CEO of the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce has been the greatest honor of my professional life,” said McFadden. “Working alongside hundreds of member businesses, community leaders and dedicated board members to strengthen our regional economy has been incredibly fulfilling. I’m excited to bring this experience to Incompass Human Services and continue making a meaningful impact in our community.”
“For more than seven decades, Incompass Human Services has been deeply rooted in the Greater Lowell community, partnering with individuals, families, and local leaders to build inclusive communities where everyone belongs,” said Jean Phelps, CEO of Incompass Human Services. “As we look to the future, telling our story with clarity, creativity, and authenticity is more important than ever. Danielle brings an extraordinary ability to connect people, elevate community voices, and make complex missions both accessible and engaging. Her deep understanding of Greater Lowell, coupled with her talent for strategic storytelling and relationship-building, will help us amplify the impact of our work and ensure the voices of the people we support are heard – today and for generations to come.”
McFadden became a prominent voice for Greater Lowell’s business community through her long-running “Chamber Chat” programs on 980 WCAP radio and Lowell TeleMedia, and more recently as a contributor to InsideLowell, where her podcast generated more than 35,500 views and downloads in 2025.
Her commitment to the community extends beyond the Chamber. McFadden currently serves on numerous boards including the Merrimack Valley Food Bank, MassHire Greater Lowell Workforce Board and as Co-Chair of the Mill City Events Fund. She also served as President of the Massachusetts Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives during 2020-21, leading chamber professionals across the state through the height of the pandemic.
This career transition comes on the heels of another significant milestone in McFadden’s community service. On January 5, 2026, she was sworn in as a member of the Lowell School Committee after topping the ticket in the November 2025 election.
McFadden holds a Master of Arts degree in Community Social Psychology from UMass Lowell and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Westfield State University. Her numerous accolades include Merrimack Valley Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40, Distinguished Young Alumni Award from UMass Lowell, Lowell Catholic High School’s St. Margaret Distinguished Graduate Award, Lifetime Achievement Award from Lowell TeleMedia, Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives’ 40 Under 40, and being named a 2025 Massachusetts Commonwealth Heroine.
Details regarding McFadden’s departure date from the Chamber and transition timeline will be announced in the coming weeks.
