Update: Update: D.A. Marian Ryan confirms the discovery of a body believed to be that of Jill Kloppenburg at an Audrey Avenue home and that Tyngsboro resident Shawn Sullivan will be charged with murder as part of the investitgation.
InsideLowell has learned a body discovered in Tyngsboro over the weekend is believed to be that of Jill Kloppenburg, the 47-year old woman missing since January 2, 2025.
While not providing specifics on the subject matter, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan’s Office has confirmed they’ve called a press conference in her Lowell office for 12:30pm today.
Kloppenburg was last seen leaving her temporary residence at 735 Broadway Street in Lowell, where she was living with roommates. She was reported missing February 26 to her hometown police department in Tewksbury.
A social media post Sunday afternoon from the Tyngsboro Police Department notified residents of an investigation in the area of Audrey Avenue that was being conducted with Massachusetts State Police. The post assured the public there was no threat to community safety and asked people to avoid the area.
