Lowell – The City of Lowell, in partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Greater Lowell, is thrilled to announce the return of MonsterBash and addition of Fall Fest, set to take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 12:00PM to 6:00PM.
This free event has become a true treat for the community- families from across Merrimack Valley gather to enjoy an afternoon of fang-tastic festivities.
From 12:00PM to 3:00PM, enjoy trick-or-treating through Downtown Lowell at local businesses and organizations. A map will be available online at www.likelowell.com/monsterbash, and during the event at the Like Lowell tent on JFK Plaza. Flyers are also available in Khmer, Portuguese, and Spanish languages.
The Kiwanis Club of Greater Lowell will transform Lowell City Hall into a not-too-spooky Haunted House, appropriate for all ages. Please note the line for the Haunted House will close promptly at 2:45PM. Returning this year, the Neighborhood Haunt at JFK Plaza will offer candy and activities in collaboration with local non-profits and community partners.
After trick-or-treating, stop by the Rockland Trust parking lot at 222 Merrimack Street to enjoy free carnival rides, live music, Wicked Tasty food truck, and a beer garden at Fall Fest.
Performers include Anova Brazil, 2 Bit Brass, Cousin Aunties Ghost, Alligator Wine, and Daemon Chili. From 1:00-6:00PM, Fall Fest is the perfect end to a ghoulishly good day in Downtown Lowell.
In support of making the fun accessible to all Lowellians, family quiet spaces will be available to the public during the event.
These locations are open to neurodivergent individuals, nursing parents, or those who may need a break.
Pollard Memorial Library, located next door to Lowell City Hall at 401 Merrimack Street, will serve as a quiet space from 12:00PM-3:00PM. In addition, the Health Department, located at 107 Merrimack Street, will be open from 1:00PM-5:00PM. More information regarding these spaces will be available online, and at the Like Lowell tent at Lowell City Hall.
City Manager Thomas A. Golden Jr. expressed his excitement, “MonsterBash and Fall Fest are made possible by community participation and engagement like our partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Greater Lowell. We look forward to welcoming everyone to experience Downtown Lowell, and enjoy everything our businesses, restaurants, and organizations have to offer as we celebrate Halloween.”

The City of Lowell continues to prioritize public safety and emergency preparedness.
The City is actively working within emergency management to decrease the risk of elopement or wandering children, enhancing protections for our most vulnerable residents.
