Mosaic Lowell Announces New Mini-Grant Program

LOWELL – Mosaic Lowell, the arts, culture, and creative economy plan for the City of Lowell, has announced a new mini-grant program for Lowell-based creatives.

“The launch of this mini-grant program is a direct result of what we heard from creatives here in Lowell – they need more unrestricted funding opportunities to advance their work,” Jes O’Hearn, Mosaic Lowell’s Director, said. “We can’t wait to see what they create.”

Mini-grant awards are for up to $1,000. Applications will be reviewed and awarded on a quarterly basis. Mosaic expects to award 4-7 mini-grants per cycle. Individuals, unincorporated groups, businesses, and nonprofit organizations in every artistic and creative discipline are eligible to apply. Grant applications open on September 15th at mosaiclowell.org and are due October 31st.

To complement the upcoming mini-grant application, Mosaic Lowell is collaborating with the Lowell Cultural Council to host a virtual professional development session on grant writing. This session will be held on Monday, September 18th at 5:30 p.m. To register, visit mosaiclowell.org.
