LOWELL – Barbara A. (Fleming) Coan, age 83, died on Monday, May 13, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late William F. Coan, Sr, until his passing in 2017.
Born in Plattsburg, NY on April 24, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Florence (Daniels) and Carl Fleming.
She was a communicant of St. Michael Church. Her gift of hospitality and willingness to always give was endless. In her earlier years you could find her volunteering for local food pantry’s, baking and cooking, knitting and crocheting blankets, shopping and soaking up the sun whenever she got the chance.
Barbara is survived by her children and spouses, Cheryl and David Santos, Christine and Arthur Bubanas, William Jr. and Carol Coan, Cynthia and Michael Noon, Raymond Coan and his fiancé Brenda Jacques, Christy Tuff; her grandchildren, Jose, Kerri, Kevin, Timothy, David, Stephanie, Raymond Jr., Meghan, Woody and Eileen; her great-grandchildren, Bryant, Amanda, Shawnda, Nanice, Jayda, Kingsten William, Robert, Courtney, Brooklyn, Mariah, Makayla, Raymond III, Dequawn, Marquise, Jayden, Zoey and Laynie; her great-great grandchild, Eizabella Santos; her siblings, Robert Fleming, Beatrice Aubin, Jeanne Hake, Shirley Hughes and Elizabeth Carpenter; also many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Barbara’s Life Celebration on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 1 until 4 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM at St. Michael Church, Lowell. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
