QUINCY – Claire Theresa (Roy) Beaulieu, age 98, a resident of Quincy and former longtime resident of Lowell died Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Milton following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Maurice Beaulieu, who died in 2007.
She was born in Lowell on July 11, 1925, and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Merina (Morin) Roy. She received her education in Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School.
Prior to her retirement, Claire was employed for many years as a bookkeeper at St. Joseph the Worker Shrine in Lowell. Previous to that she was employed in that same capacity by St. Jeanne d’Arc Church in Lowell, as well as various area printing companies.
She was an avid reader and she enjoyed painting, cooking, entertaining and traveling the world.
Claire was a parishioner of St. Francis Church in Dracut and former parishioner of St. Jeanne d’Arc Church in Lowell.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Celeste and John McClain of Quincy; nephews and nieces, Russell Roy, Marianne Roy, Dennis Roy, Mark Roy and his wife Kathie, Paula Menard and her husband Jules and Kenneth Roy, all of New Hampshire.
She was also the mother of the late Denise Beaulieu and the sister of the late Paul Roy, Robert Roy, Raymond Roy and Doris Roy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Claire’s visitation on Friday, October 6th from 9:00 until 9:45am at St. Francis Church, 115 Wheeler Rd in Dracut followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00am at the church.
