HUDSON, NH – Deborah L. “Debbie” (Barnaby) Comrie, age 63, a resident of Hudson, NH passed away peacefully at Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, NH following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Lowell on May 14, 1960, and was the eldest daughter of Aline (Clermont) Mueller and her husband Wilhelm of Hudson, NH and the late Franklin Barnaby, Sr. She received her education in Pelham, NH schools and was a graduate of Pelham High School, Class of 1978. She was also a graduate of St. Joseph School of Nursing in Nashua, NH, class of 1998.
Prior to her illness, Debbie was employed for many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse for various local healthcare facilities, specializing in patients with Alzheimers Disease and elder and end of life care. She made many friends who were her colleagues throughout her career, specifically while working at Community Family in Lowell.
In her free time, she enjoyed hiking in the White Mountains, family barbecues and spending time with her dogs Joey and the late Jake. Her greatest joy however, was spending time in the company of her family, especially her loving sons and adoring grandchildren.
In addition to her mother and step-father, Debbie is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, James R. and Linda Comrie of Derry, NH, Christopher J. and Krista Comrie of Londonderry, NH and Jonathan M. and Jessica Comrie of Brentwood, NH; six grandchildren, Mikayla, Kiera, Maddilyn, Kayla, Olivia and Isabelle; her sister, Pamela Matsis and her partner Blair Ambrose of Hooksett, NH; her brother, Franklin Barnaby, Jr. and his wife Jonna of Pepperell; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by the father of her sons, Robert G. Comrie, Jr..
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Debbie’s Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Sunday 7/23 from 2:00 until 5:00pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00am at St. Kathryn Church in Hudson, NH. Burial in Gibson Cemetery in Pelham, NH.
