LOWELL – Stephen F. Cohn, age 71, a resident of the Christian Hill neighborhood in the Centralville section, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 following a long courageous battle with Type I Diabetes with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Anne F. (Sugden) Cohn, to whom he was married for 34 years prior to her passing in 2019.
He was born in Wareham on July 25, 1951, and was a son of the late Donald R. and Dorothy Ann (Shea) Cohn. He was a graduate of Lowell High School, class of 1969 and earned an Associate Degree in Biotechnology from Middlesex Community College.
Prior to his retirement, Stephen was employed for many years in the biotechnology industry. Earlier in his career he was employed by Raytheon.
He was an avid fan of all of the New England sports teams, especially the New England Patriots. He also enjoyed riding his Harley, going on car rides, taking the dogs for walks and listening to music, especially The Rolling Stones.
He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his ability to make anyone laugh.
Stephen leaves his three daughters, Alexandra Leah Cohn, Hannah Elizabeth Cohn and her fiancé Demitrios Koufogazos and Emily Francesca Cohn, all of Lowell; his two brothers, Doug Cohn and his wife Denise of Falls Village, CT and Mark Cohn and his wife Martha of Seabrook, NH; his sister, Deborah Cohn of Loveland, CO; his dogs, Oliver and Bowie; and several friends, nieces and nephews.
He was was predeceased by his nephew and godson Shea Cohn and his dog Chelsea Morning.
It being his request, there will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to his Funeral Mass to be Celebrated Friday morning, April 14th, at 10 AM at St. Francis Church, 115 Wheeler Rd., Dracut. Burial will be private.
