Operation Rosebud needs more volunteers!

Lowell Litter Krewe, in conjunction with the Mayor’s Office and Senior Center, is proud to announce the 2022-23 season for Operation Rosebud. The goal of the program is to connect senior citizens and disabled residents of Lowell to volunteers willing to provide snow shoveling assistance to their neighbors. Volunteers will be matched with a senior as close to home as possible, and asked to clear the sidewalk and a path to the door each time the city plows come out. Sign up for Operation Rosebud is available at linktr.ee/LowellLitterKrewe.

Operation Rosebud grew from 6 volunteers in 2020 to over 30 seniors served each snowfall last year. This winter, they’d like to double the numbers because there is already a waitlist for seniors.

The program received a $1,000 grant from the Grassroots Fund for shovels and other items needed.
