After performing the duties on an interim basis since February 1st, InsideLowell has learned that Scott Ouellet will be named Athletic Director at Lowell High School on a permanent basis.
Ouellet took over during a transition period that saw former A.D. Dave Lezenski placed on paid leave in late January, before officially resigning in late March. Ouellet drew rave reviews for his performance in the role from outgoing Superintendent of Schools, Joel Boyd.
Despite the accolades from the head honcho, we’re told the long-time LHS Track Coach was one of 16 applicants for the prestigious position, before eventually emerging as the candidate chosen to lead Red Raiders athletics programs going forward.
