LOWELL, MA – The Massachusetts Pirates have named WCAP-980 AM as its official radio partner for the 2024 season. WCAP will be the exclusive radio outlet for all Pirates home and away games.
“As we integrate ourselves within our new community, it’s imperative we connect and partner with those within the community,” said Pirates Co-Owner, Founder, President and General Manager Jawad Yatim. “That was our main goal throughout our search for the official radio broadcast partner of the Pirates. WCAP is a trusted and familiar media platform within Lowell and the surrounding area and we’re thrilled to be working alongside their station on our radio broadcasts as well as our weekly in season “State of the Pirates” radio show.”
WCAP-AM 980 is also the official radio broadcast partner of UMASS Lowell Athletics, airs local high school football and formerly broadcasted Lowell Spinners baseball. “The Voice of the Valley is a talk, news, sports and information station serving the Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire.
