PrideStar Trinity EMS Continues Ukraine Support

LOWELL — Continuing its commitment to helping those in need both at home and abroad, PrideStar Trinity EMS has donated a large collection of new and gently used emergency medical supplies to the Global Disaster Relief Team (GDRT).

The donated supplies will soon be transported to Ukraine, where they will support emergency responders, healthcare providers, and humanitarian teams caring for civilians affected by the ongoing war.

This marks the second humanitarian initiative undertaken by PrideStar Trinity EMS in support of Ukraine. In 2025, the organization donated two fully equipped ambulances through US Ambulances for Ukraine, replacing emergency vehicles destroyed during the conflict and helping ensure Ukrainian first responders could continue providing lifesaving care.

PrideStar recently welcomed Alexander Smirnov of the Global Disaster Relief Team (GDRT) to its headquarters in Lowell to collect the donated supplies. Smirnov has personally served on the front lines in Ukraine, delivering critical medical supplies and humanitarian aid to communities impacted by the war.

Rather than allowing valuable medical equipment and supplies to remain unused, the company chose to place them in the hands of an organization capable of delivering them directly to those who need them most.

Employees gathered at the company’s Lowell headquarters to assist GDRT in loading dozens of boxes of medical supplies before they began their journey overseas.

“This donation continues a relationship that began with our ambulance donation several years ago,” said PrideStar Trinity EMS President David Daly. “We know firsthand that reliable equipment can mean the difference between life and death. Seeing these supplies continue their mission in Ukraine is something our entire team is proud to support.”

Smirnov, who has witnessed firsthand the challenges facing emergency responders in Ukraine, expressed his appreciation for the donation.

“Every box of supplies we receive means another opportunity to care for someone in need. Donations from organizations like PrideStar Trinity EMS directly support the medics and volunteers working in some of the most difficult conditions imaginable. We are deeply grateful for their continued commitment to the people of Ukraine.”

The Global Disaster Relief Team provides humanitarian assistance throughout the world by delivering medical supplies, equipment, and disaster relief to communities affected by war, natural disasters, and other emergencies.

“EMS is built on compassion, service, and helping others during their greatest time of need,” Daly added. “Those values don’t stop at our nation’s borders. We are honored to support the Global Disaster Relief Team and grateful for the courageous work Alexander and his fellow volunteers continue to perform in Ukraine.”
