LOWELL – PrideStar Trinity EMS proudly announced that Human Resources Specialist/EMT-B Cathy Lanoue, Operations Manager/EMT-B Amanda Lehman, and Operations Supervisor/Paramedic Josh Swallow have been awarded the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award, a prestigious recognition presented by the Department of Defense’s ESGR program.
The three employees were nominated by PrideStar Trinity EMS EMT Curtis Chanthaboun, who serves in the Army National Guard.
Chanthaboun, who is still out on deployment, recognized Lanoue, Lehman, and Swallow for their unwavering support throughout his military commitments, including drill weekends, annual training, activations, and deployments.
On June 16, 2026, ESGR Area Chair Doug Edwards visited PrideStar Trinity EMS to formally present the awards during a special recognition ceremony.
What makes this recognition particularly noteworthy is that it marks the first time ESGR has presented three Patriot Awards to employees from the same company at the same time, a testament to the culture of support and leadership found throughout PrideStar Trinity EMS.
In his nomination, Chanthaboun described how Lanoue, Lehman, and Swallow consistently supported his military obligations, ensured he could focus on his service responsibilities with confidence, and worked together to facilitate a smooth transition upon his leave and return from military duties. Their efforts went beyond simply meeting legal requirements, demonstrating a genuine commitment to supporting those who serve our nation.
“Supporting military members and their families is an important part of who we are as an organization,” said David Daly, President and CEO of PrideStar Trinity EMS. “We are incredibly proud of Cathy, Amanda, and Josh for receiving this well-deserved recognition. Their leadership, compassion, and commitment to our employees embody the values we strive to uphold every day.”
This recognition also continues a proud tradition within PrideStar Trinity EMS.
Prior to this year’s awards, three other members of the organization had received the ESGR Patriot Award in years past: SVP John Chemaly, President and CEO David Daly, and Director of Operations John Hebert.

With the addition of Lanoue, Lehman, and Swallow, a total of six PrideStar Trinity EMS employees have now been recognized with this distinguished honor.
The ESGR Patriot Award recognizes supervisors and employers who provide exceptional support to employees serving in the National Guard and Reserve. Approximately 40 percent of the nation’s military force consists of Guard and Reserve members who depend upon supportive civilian employers while fulfilling their military obligations.
Congratulations to Cathy Lanoue, Amanda Lehman, and Josh Swallow on this outstanding achievement and well-deserved recognition.
