It’s gotta suck to be a Progressive in Lowell, right now.
Their political beacon of light is suffering from a bout of pragmatism when it comes to the challenges of festering homeless encampments. Boston Mayor Michelle Wu’s pivot effectively pulls the rug out from under our local cohort of finger wagging, pretentious litmus testers; bent on lecturing those they deem boorish.
Will any of the whitesplaining, do-gooders of Lowell start blurting how Wu conjours MAGA? I won’t hold my breath.
FYI – you heard this wisdom spoken on the Lowell City Council long before some Boston based Comms consultant repackaged it for the Wu Train:
“No one is being served living in a crowded and dangerous encampment, visited by hundreds of people engaged in drug trafficking and violence,” Wu said.
