Raft the River – Right in Your Backyard

Rafting returns to the Concord River, next Saturday April 19, as the Lowell Parks and Conservation Trust launches its 2025 season.

The organization has been hosting whitewater rafting tripos down the Concord River since the early 1990’s.

The following weekend, on Sunday April 27, the Trust is hosting a special day of FREE rafting for residents from Lowell (including lunch). Details can be found here:

This year’s season features a pair of runs, one starting at 9am and another at 1pm, every Saturday and Sunday through May.

Travel down three sets of class III/IV rapids, twice, with the Parks & Conservation Trust’s partners at Zoar Outdoor. Book your adventure by clicking here. A portion of the proceeds are donated back to the Trust to support our conservation work along the Concord River Greenway.

For more information – including videos – check out the Trust’s rafting page.

Scholarships will be available for Lowell residents through an application process. Additionally, three lucky applicants will have the chance to join Zoar Outdoor’s Guide Training program.
