State Representative Vanna Howard announced yesterday that she has been reappointed to the Early Education and Care Advisory Council by Speaker of the House Ron Mariano.
This will be Howard’s second term on the Council, which is responsible for providing critical recommendations to the Commissioner and the Department of Early Education and Care regarding policies and programs for the development of the state’s youth.
Throughout Howard’s tenure as a state representative, early education and childcare have been among her top legislative priorities.
In a statement, Howard expressed gratitude for the opportunity to continue service.
“I am deeply honored to accept this reappointment and extend my sincere gratitude to Speaker Ronald Mariano for his continued confidence,” said Representative Howard. “I look forward to collaborating with the EEC Advisory Council to advocate for policies that will have a meaningful impact on the future of our young people.”
The Early Education and Care Advisory Council is established under Chapter 15D, Section 3A of Mass General Laws. Howard is one of three members appointed by the Speaker of the House.
