“Spooktacular” Tradition Returns

Lowell – The City of Lowell, in partnership with the Kiwanis Club, is thrilled to announce the return of MonsterBash, set to take place on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 12:00PM to 3:00PM. This free family event has become a beloved tradition, bringing together families and friends from across the region for a delightfully spooky afternoon.

Get into the Halloween spirit as Lowell City Hall undergoes a transformation into a kid-friendly Haunted House. Additionally, the Neighborhood Haunt at JFK Plaza will offer candy and activities in collaboration with 14 local nonprofits and community partners. Grab a bite to eat at a food truck and enjoy the bubble artistry of Bubbles McGee. Please note that the line for the Haunted House will close promptly at 2:30PM.

Head to Downtown Lowell for trick-or-treating with a record breaking 34 businesses and organizations. A map is available online at https://www.likelowell.com/monsterbash, and will be available the day of at the Like Lowell tent on JFK Plaza. Event flyers are also available in Khmer, Portuguese, and Spanish languages.

City Manager Thomas A. Golden, Jr., expressed his excitement, stating, “MonsterBash has always been a hallmark event for our City, and we’re thrilled to continue our partnership with the Kiwanis Club. We look forward to welcoming everyone for an afternoon of laughs, treats, and fun.”
