The “Future” Returns to Lowell

Expect increased traffic and business around the Downtown next week, as the National Academy of  Future Physicians and Medical Scientists brings its Congress of Future Medical Leaders to the Mill City June 21-23.

The annual event is expected to bring 5,000 kids, ranging from 8th grade through High School Seniors to the Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell. Along with the attendees, parents flood into the area as well, leading to a boom for local dining spots and shops.

Naturally, traffic also heats up with that many people coming and going, as well.

As past gatherings have shown, this is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our city to folks visiting for the first time.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to Lowell next week and hopefully well into the future.
