LOWELL – The Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce (GLCC) Friday announced the appointment of Linsey Former as Interim President & CEO, effective mid-February.
Former has served as the Chamber’s Member Engagement Coordinator since June 2023, where she has been instrumental in strengthening relationships with members, supporting business growth, and helping the Chamber flourish as a trusted connector within the Greater Lowell business community.
Since joining the GLCC team, Former has worked closely with members to enhance engagement opportunities, expand programming, and ensure businesses and nonprofits feel supported, connected, and heard. Her proven ability to build meaningful relationships and drive member satisfaction has positioned her as a natural fit for this leadership role.
“The Chamber has played such an important role in my professional life for nearly 20 years, and I am so excited to be passing the torch to Linsey so she can put her stamp on the organization,” said Danielle McFadden, outgoing President & CEO of the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce. “Her work ethic, creativity, and ability to connect with people make her a wonderful choice to lead the Chamber forward into the next exciting chapter.”
McFadden has led the GLCC for more than 14 years, guiding the organization through a period of remarkable modernization and increased community impact. Under her leadership, the Chamber became known for its innovative programming and deep partnerships across the region.
McFadden will depart the Chamber in mid-February to assume the role of Chief Marketing Officer at Incompass Human Services, where she will continue her long-standing commitment to mission-driven leadership
“I am incredibly honored and excited to step into the role of Interim President & CEO of the GLCC!” said Former. “The Chamber has been an important part of my professional journey, and I am grateful for the opportunity to build upon the strong foundation and legacy that Danielle has created. As I begin this next chapter, I look forward to further strengthening our relationships with members, deepening partnerships across the region, and continuing to ensure the Chamber remains a trusted, welcoming, and impactful voice for the Greater Lowell business community.”
“Linsey brings a deep understanding of our members, our mission, and the Greater Lowell business community,” said Vichtcha “Vee” Kong, Chair of the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. “Her leadership, relationship-building skills, and commitment to collaboration make her exceptionally well suited to serve as Interim President & CEO. The Board is confident that Linsey will provide steady, thoughtful leadership during this transition while continuing the strong momentum the Chamber has built under Danielle’s tenure.”
Former’s appointment ensures continuity of leadership and a continued focus on supporting members, strengthening partnerships, and advancing the Chamber’s mission to serve as a unifying voice for business in Greater Lowell.
