Dubuque Returns to Local Banking Scene With Workers Credit Union

Workers Credit Union announced today the appointment of Mike Dubuque as the new Chief of Growth Initiatives.

The Lowell native brings more than twenty years of leadership experience across credit unions, financial services, and community organizations. He joins Workers Credit Union from the company he founded, Green Bridge Community Partners, where he advised credit unions on innovative investment opportunities and strategic growth solutions. Prior to that he rose quickly through the leadership ranks during his twelve years at Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union.

In his new role, Dubuque will lead WCU’s work around new locations, footprint expansion, partnerships, and other growth initiatives that support the organization’s long term success.

“Workers Credit Union is charting a path to an exciting future and Mike will help us drive our transformative growth,” said Jay Champion, President and CEO of Workers Credit Union. “His experience in community engagement and partnership development will serve Workers well as he steps into this role.”

Mike holds an MBA and a BS in Finance from Bentley University, as well as a Certified Chief Executive designation from the CUES CEO Institute.

“Having spent my career deepening my existing roots in the Greater Lowell area, I’m thrilled to join a leadership team that shares my commitment to community‑centric growth and innovation,” said Dubuque.

Mike grew up in Lowell and has also been deeply active in the local community, including service on the Tufts Medicine Lowell General Hospital Board of Directors.

He lives in Westford with his wife and three children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, coaching basketball, playing golf, and unwinding on Cape Cod.
