Spring into Summer at CBA’s 6 Degrees of the Acre!

LOWELL – The Coalition for a Better Acre (CBA) is proud to announce that it will honor Greater Lowell Health Alliance (GLHA) Executive Director Kerrie D’Entremont as 2026 Acre Champion at its annual 6 Degrees of the Acre gala.

The award is in recognition of D’Entremont’s outstanding leadership of an organization that is crucial to our region’s health and wellbeing.

This year’s event takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 25 at the Hellenic Cultural Center, 41 Broadway Street, Lowell.

D’Entremont took the helm of GLHA in 2015. She is a dedicated nonprofit and public health leader with nearly 30 years of experience improving community wellbeing across the Greater Lowell region.

Under Kerrie’s leadership, GLHA has strengthened partnerships across healthcare, education, business, and nonprofit sectors while securing critical funding for community-driven public health initiatives. Her work has helped guide regional efforts through the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP), gathering broad community input to identify and address gaps in services while expanding access to resources that build healthier communities.

“When we started talking about honoring an Acre Champion this year, Kerrie’s name came up repeatedly,” said CBA’s CEO, Dan Rivera. “The Alliance has played such a vital role in identifying key health and safety concerns in our community and orchestrating a broad coalition to address them through taskforces, funding, education, and advocacy.”

Rivera added, “During the pandemic Kerrie and GLHA were instrumental in convening a coalition of  nonprofits, government officials, health care providers, and residents to assure equitable access to accurate information, vaccines, and other resources.”

D’Entremont has also championed Greater Lowell’s annual PRIDE celebration, working to increase visibility and support for the LGBTQIA+ community in our city and throughout the region.

That visibility has never felt more important than it does today.

In addition to her role at GLHA, Kerrie serves as chair of Women Working Wonders, a permanently endowed fund of the Greater Lowell Community Foundation that supports programs and services for women and girls. She also serves on the board of the Megan House Foundation and on the UMass Lowell Zuckerberg School of Health Science Nursing Advisory Committee.

A UMass Lowell graduate with a degree in Community Health, Kerrie has proudly called Lowell home for more than 30 years. She lives in Centralville with her husband, Tom, and their two sons.

6 Degrees of the Acre is CBA’s primary fundraiser. “We call it 6 Degrees because it seems everyone is connected in some way to the Acre,” Rivera explained. x “It’s an evening to celebrate as a community and to raise funds for CBA’s free programs and services,” Rivera said. “Music, raffles, games, and delicious food are part of the mix.”
