Baseball players and families from Massachusetts, Maine, and New York will descend on Lowell this Memorial Day Weekend to participate in the 3^rd Annual Boomer Baseball Memorial Day Classic.

Seventy-six games will be held at eight fields across the city including: Shedd Park – Cahill-Perrin Little League Field, Shedd Park – Gresco Baseball Field, Shedd Park – Robert G. Gallagher Little League Field, Highland Park – DeCosta Field, Highland Park – Loucraft Field, Campbell Park – Campbell Senior League Field, LeBlanc Park – Joseph McNamara Little League Field, and LeBlanc Park – Ronald H LeBlanc Baseball Field.

Matt Duffy Baseball (Weymouth, MA)
Maine Lightning Baseball (Portland, ME)

Cathance Cubs (Bowdoinham, ME)
Twin Town Warriors (Albany, NY)

The event will kick off with a celebration of baseball at Shedd Park on Friday night where a skills competition will be held from 4-9pm EST for all age groups.  Competitions include fastest runner, most accurate thrower and a home run derby for each age group.  All participating teams will be in attendance for the kick-off event.

Tournament play will kick off Saturday morning at 9am across the city and conclude Monday afternoon.  Over 90 Lowell baseball players will be participating in the tournament across seven teams.

As part of the event, local businesses will be showcasing their tasty treats, dishes and desserts across the city to our visitors.  See the schedule of where your favorite foods will be.
