City Councilor Facing Domestic Assault Charges

City Councilor Corey Robinson turned himself in to authorities Thursday morning, following an alleged domestic assault.

Robinson appeared before Lowell District Court Judge Michael Fabbri Friday morning. He was charged with Domestic Assault and Battery on a Family Member or Household Member and ordered to stay away from the alleged victim. He will also wear a GPS monitoring device.

Police reports have not been  made available yet, but according to the court documents, Robinson and the alleged victim have been in a “dating relationship” and that there have been prior incidents involving the two. The documents also state that on the night in question, “the defendant is alleged to have put his hands forcibly around the victims neck and pulled her hair.”

Efforts to reach Robinson for comment have been unsuccessful. The District 2 Representative easily won re-election to his seat in the November 7 municipal election.

Two sides to every story. Innocent until proven guilty, which will never happen!

Also NOT a family member, NOT a household member. Get the facts, before destroying a man.

Innocent until prove guilty. The courts, not the mobs, shall determine his fate.

The charge is states exactly “ two counts of assault and battery on a household or family member” Susan. Nothing incorrect, unfortunately.
