The Town of Westford reminds residents that, beginning today, eligible households should use their Town-issued 35-gallon trash cart for weekly trash collection.
Here’s what residents need to know:
- No PAYT bags are required for trash placed inside your Town-issued 35-gallon cart.
- Official PAYT overflow bags are required for any trash that does not fit inside your cart.
- PAYT overflow bags are available at participating retailers throughout Westford.
- Recycling collection remains free and unchanged.
- Continue placing your trash and recycling at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your regular collection day.
The PAYT program is part of the Town’s Comprehensive Waste Reduction Plan and is designed to help manage rising disposal costs while encouraging waste reduction and recycling.
